FIRST aiders won't be rushing to help burglars who made off with nearly £500 of their funds.
The bagged-up cash was stolen from the Tyldesley St John Ambulance divisional treasurer's home in Lever Close, Tyldesley.
The thieves took a black, red-lined first aid bag containing about £100 in notes and almost £400 in silver plus a video recorder when they broke into disabled Marjorie McDonald's home.
Mrs McDonald, 57, has been a St John's worker for 27 years and said the money was to be used to send cadets to camp.
