LEIGH's MP Lawrence Cunliffe has backed a ban on bangers.
And he's joined the Government's campaign to clamp down on banger bully boys by backing new laws to ban bangers and other dangerous fireworks.
Mr Cunliffe said: "These new regulations will have the twofold effect of improving consumer safety and of banning certain fireworks which are favourites with hooligans.
"Every year we hear shocking stories of how hooligans have let off bangers in the street or even pushed them through letterboxes.
"The changes announced this week will go a long way to putting an end to such behaviour."
