OVER the past months I have read numerous letters on a variety of issues relating to Hyndburn Council leader George Slynn.
It would appear, from the responses, that Coun Slynn seems to think he is a law unto himself.
He will not take constructive criticism from anyone, not even his own council colleagues.
It seems to me that Hyndburn, under his leadership, is bordering on a totalitarian state which Joseph Stalin would have been proud of.
What is the use of people electing a Labour councillor when they are not allowed to have a meaningful say on anything?
When a person in Coun Slynn's position thinks that he is infallible and is everything to everyone, then it is time serious consideration be given to the future of this man.
It is time he took a long hard look at himself and it could be better for everyone in the borough if he went now, before he is shoved.
