POLICE are seeking a Good Samaritan who went to the rescue of an elderly woman who was knocked to the ground by a would-be bag snatcher.
The incident took place in New Street, Sutton, at about 7.25pm on Saturday, October 11, and the young man, believed to be between 18 and 20 years of age, helped the 71-year-old victim to her feet after chasing the offender.
Officers believe he may be able to help them further with their inquiries.
