RAIL enthusaists have swapped stations.
After 13 years in the Turnpike Centre Leigh Model Railway Society's annual exhibition has moved to Lowton.
Between 10am and 8pm Saturday and 10am and 5pm Sunday enthusiasts will flock to the new, larger venue of Lowton Civic Hall in Hesketh Meadow Lane.
With 12 working layouts the exhibition will offer something for hardened rail fans and the hobbyist newcomer, plus all those in between.
Thomas the Tank Engine will also feature with children being offered the chance to drive the world's most lovable engine. And trade stalls will present visitors with the chance to buy suitable Christmas gifts.
Admission to the event, will cost £2 for adults, with children and senior citizens £1, or a family ticket on offer for £5. Under fives get in free.
IT was standing room only at Leigh's Bond Street Catholic Club last week when local rail historian Dennis Sweeney presented a slide show.
