A LEIGH councillor has erupted after discovering a question and answer session on the Xanadu plans was videod - without his knowledge.
"This is just typical of the dirty tricks employed by the Green Party," fumed Cllr Brian Jarvis, a Labour member for Hope Carr Ward where the £150million snowdome in planned.
Cllr Jarvis spent close on two-and-a-half hours answering questions at an anti-Xanadu meeting, sponsored by the Green Party.
And he claims phrases and answers have been taken out of context by the Green Party.
"I know the session was secretly videoed or sound taped by the Greens. They did that without my permission.
"They can now manipulate and twist the words that I spoke. This is disgusting.
"Maybe the Greens should put in their next Press Release that Chris Maile admitted to the meeting that IF he was elected, he wouldn't be able to stop the Xanadu project going ahead. But I bet they won't!"
Rounding on the Green Party he added: "I think it's disgusting. They have brought the election down to gutter politics in its lowest form."
