BURNLEY look to continue their revival when Bournemouth come to Turf Moor on Saturday.
Pre-season, the Clarets could have expected to be in Bournemouth's position, 8th, by now - and vice-versa.
The Cherries have manager Mel Machin to thank for keeping them in the second division amid financial crisis last season, and most pundits were predicting another struggle for them this time.
In contrast, Burnley, who began 1997-8 full of hope, are still bottom despite four games without defeat since the beginning of October.
Chris Waddle is pleased with his team's growing strength. After Burnley battled back from 2-1 to earn a draw at Plymouth on Tuesday, the boss said: "It said a lot about our self-belief that we came back to take a point.
"I was disappointed that we didn't win the game, but any point away from home is a good one and I was pleased with the result."
The Clarets have a good home record against the Cherries - they haven't lost in their last four meetings at the Turf and last season won 1-0.
