POLICE marksmen had to shoot an escaped bull after it rampaged round streets in Nelson.
Officers armed were called in because of fears the enraged animal could get into the town centre.
Two other bullocks were brought in to calm the animal, but they also led police a chase until they were placed in a trailer. The incident lasted two hours but no-one was injured.
