BLACKBURN Museum is preparing an exhibition commemorating the visit made in 1931 of Mohandas Gandhi to Darwen and Blackburn.
We are keen to hear from people who may recall this event in person, or who have handed-down family stories about the great man and the atmosphere of the time, either in Blackburn and Darwen or in the India of old.
If readers have family members who are willing to be interviewed during mid-November, Imtiaz Patel, Sally Coleman and I would be delighted to hear from them at Blackburn Museum, Museum Street, Blackburn BB1 7AJ. Telephone 667130.
MAGGY SIMMS, Keeper, Blackburn Museum.
