ACCRINGTON'S 100-year-old Nori brick company was put up for sale as part of a "job lot" sell off by its Yorkshire owners.
Around 100 workers at the multi-million pound high-tech Nori plant, Whinney Hill, were told of the shock move by management of parent company George Armitage and Sons.
The whole of Armitage's operations, covering four major brickmaking plants, had been put up for grabs.
