ONE of my customers, John Sands, made a super 'easy listening' record in the early 1970s with musicians from the London Symphony Orchestra and a song called 'Kilimanjaro.'
It was a chart hit in both the UK and in Africa, where John sang the lyrics in Swahili.
With the vogue for high-quality, easy-listening records, John would like to re-release this classic recording and I would like to help him by transferring the original master tape to my state-of-the-art, digital equipment for remastering to today's exacting standards.
The master tape he has is Half Inch and of unknown format, though most likely four track.
I am appealing to any Telegraph readers who have a Half Inch reel to reel machine in working order (perhaps lurking in their attic!) and are willing to let us try the tape to see if it will work to contact me at my Moving Music studio on 01772 335469.
They could help make history.
