A COUNCIL called in police to investigate how bus tokens worth nearly £30,000 went missing.
Hyndburn Council carried out an internal inquiry into the deficiency and decided to bring in the police when it looked like a possible criminal matter. Police confirmed they were investigating but the council was staying tight-lipped about the matter.
