I WAS pleased to read of the good fortune and the honesty of the lady handing in Jean Lewis's purse (Letters, November 3).
I had my purse stolen not long ago, of all places in a charity shop. The purse contained sentimental items that can never be replaced.
Only last week on holiday at Pontin's with our four young grandchildren, my camera with 24 undeveloped photos of them was stolen. No one has handed it in yet. The camera is not my priority, just the film of happy memories of our grandchildren.
It is obvious thieves are totally insensitive and care nothing for their fellow-man (or woman).
