STUDENTS aiming for a career in the furniture industry have made a comfortable success of linking up with colleagues in Sweden.
A year-long trial was set up between students on furniture design courses at Burnley College and at the University of Trolhatten in Sweden.
The project aimed to find out the benefits of using video conferencing to help students on craft courses.
"The visual link enabled the students to share design ideas and philosophies and work together on joint projects," said Burnley College's Alan Buckley, director of information technology.
