THE man behind the revolutionary clockwork radio is about to set the minds of East Lancashire company managers ticking.
Trevor Baylis OBE, whose invention of the wireless which doesn't need batteries has transformed the lives of thousands in the Third World, will address a seminar at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel, Clayton-le-Moors, on November 26.
"Innovation is the lifeblood of successful businesses," said Paul Heald, organisational development director of ELTEC, which is hosting the event.
"Trevor's experiences and viewpoints on the issue of innovation are truly unique so this event promises to give forward-thinking employers a great deal of valuable information."
Trevor founded BayGen in South Africa after his radio invention failed to attract interest from British manufacturers. He has since created more than 200 other products, mainly aimed at disabled people.
