THE MULTI-MILLION pound redevelopment of Preston's Deepdale stadium will be kickstarted next month (December) when work begins on the new North Stand.
Fans have been left frustrated by the lack of work done after the Kop was closed at the end of last season.
But plans for the exciting new Football Museum needed to be sorted out before a date could be set for the £3 million 6,000 seater stand.
Chairman Bryan Gray announced the go ahead this week: "I'm pleased we can now press the button for the demolition of the Kop.
"I know people have been frustrated at the lack of progress.
"When complete we will be half way towards our target of a 30,000 capacity Premier League stadium." It's hoped the stand will be comleted next July.
