MAY I ask the vociferous people who are constantly knocking the service that Ring and Ride provide, to please put their comments in to writing and send them to me or the depot supervisor at 12 Johnson Street, Atherton, Manchester, M46 0PW.

Also, if anyone has any suggestions that they think would improve our service, then they should also put that down on paper to the same address.

Alternatively there are comments forms in plastic holders behind the driver's seat on each mini bus. This form is pre-paid and goes to the Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive, who ensure that the matter is dealt with by Ring and Ride.

Ring and Ride also have a local telephone enquiry line number - 01942 886111, where comments/suggestions can be discussed with the supervisor. However, if the complainant wishes to make their comments personally, I will invite them to attend the User Group meeting.

We have had at the group, people who have commented about the service which Ring and Ride provide, then after having expressed their opinion, they have been invited to become members of the User Group and have contributed tremendously towards the improvement of the service.

At present we have approximately 7,185 registered passengers of which many are active users. Among that total are wheelchair bound users, and it is company policy to ensure that every possible consideration is given to fitting their trip requests in to the schedule.

Ring and Ride was created to help alleviate the travel problems of disabled people, but with limited finance the company cannot possibly solve everyone's need.
