I AM writing to express my disgust, dismay and contempt at the paltry, light sentences imposed on the two low-life yobbos who, as a result of their actions, killed pensioner Miss Ellen Bootle.
Sentencing both of these miserable yobs to five years, Mr Justice Moses said: " I must not pass on sentence that will crush either of you." Why not? Don't we the general public deserve better protection from the law than to have these two worthless scum circulating among us again in less than five years (after remission).
Make no mistake, Mr Justice Moses, the only thing these two are sorry about is getting caught, and if the Judge feels that a five year sentence "reflects the outrage that society feels when innocent citizens are attacked on the street," then he must live on planet Mars!
Also, to make a statement like "the courts will protect vulnerable members of society such as this old lady whose life you took," just proves how out-of-touch he is.
If anything, after seeing light sentences passed like this for such a terrible crime, the public feel even more unsafe and vulnerable. I would have though 15 years minimum for these swines would have been lenient enough, after all, they killed, didn't they?
The police do their level best to get the job done but in court, through the interference of various do-gooders and mealy mouthers, it all goes out of the window.
Anyway, these brave, heroic pillars of society can thank their lucky stars that it wasn't my mum or grandma who they killed for her pension, as the day of their release would be the same day they would get the mother and father of all good hidings, which would incriminate me, wouldn't it?
Still, that's good old British justice for you.
