COLNE FC's youth policy is paying dividends.
Manager Denzil Hart is putting his faith in young players - seven of the side that drew 1-1 with Leek GSOB in the NW Counties League on Saturday were teenagers.
Sixteen-year-old Russell Headley earned rave reviews and the man-of-the-match award for his outstanding performance.
Another teenager, Barry White, made his debut up front, while another young striker, John Whiteside, is likely to make his first appearance at Middlewich Athletic on Saturday.
A longer-term youth scheme is being forged with North Valley Dynamoes, the club based near Colne's Holt House ground.
