AS grandma to a 19-year-old girl, I felt I must write about the Louise Woodward case.
Myself and my friends who have also signed this letter feel that the guilty verdict and life sentence on this poor girl was totally wrong. Everything must be done to get Louise home to Britain where she belongs.
The total truth about the injuries and death of Matthew will probably never come out but clearly, whatever did happen, Louise did not murder him. Louise must not be forgotten about, left in an American jail, with hardened criminals.
She is not a criminal. She needs to be home in Britain surrounded by her family and the British people who believe in her.
