MAYOR of St Helens, Councillor John Mealor, has launched the annual Toy Appeal to ensure all local children, no matter how needy, get a present from Santa this year.
Toys, preferably new and NOT gift-wrapped, can be handed in at any local council office or library, or at St Helens Town Hall. All donations and gifts will be most welcome up to Monday, December 8.
Cheques should be made payable to St Helens MBC (Toy Appeal) and sent to: Keith Wakefield, Social Services Department, Century House, Hardshaw Street, St Helens (tel. 01744 456690).
