FIREFIGHTERS had to cut two men out of a car following an accident on the Rainford by-pass at about 2.15am on Saturday, November 1. The driver and a passenger were taken to Whiston Hospital where they were treated for head and leg injuries.
This followed an earlier incident on the same road, reported at 6.30pm on Friday, October 31, involving two cars. The female driver of one of the cars, who had to be cut out by the fire brigade, sustained hip injuries. She was later taken to hospital along with a 30-year-old Blackburn man driving the other car who hurt his shoulder.
