PEDESTRIANS are set to benefit from a scheme to improve safety on Lord Street in Fleetwood.
County councillors have given the go-ahead for traffic calming measures on the road including footways and crossovers.
In Cleveleys, councillors have approved a scheme to improve the junction of Cleveleys Avenue and West Drive with textured surfacing and speed bars.
And in Poulton work will be carried out at the junction of Longhouse Lane and Highcross Road to create a separate lane for traffic turning right.
County councillor Richard Toon, chairman of the highways and transportation committee said: "We have approved these schemes today as part of our on-going campaign to improve road safety in Lancashire.
"We are committed to ensuring that the limited funds we receive from the Government are used effectively, treating the maximum number of sites with poor accident records."
