A MASKED gang carried out an armed raid on an off-licence in Rainhill on Friday.
Three men, wearing scarves obscuring the lower part of their faces and carrying truncheons, entered the Threshers store in Warrington Road at about 10pm on Friday, October 31.
After threatening terrified staff they ran out with the contents of the till before making their escape in an E-reg blue Honda parked near to the shop and believed to have been driven by a fourth member of the gang. The car was later discovered to have been stolen from the Huyton area earlier.
The staff were unhurt but were unable to give detailed descriptions of the robbers apart from saying that two of them were white and one black and all three spoke with Liverpool accents.
ANYONE who was in the area at the time and might be able to offer more information, is asked to contact DC Dave Littler at St Helens CID office on 0151 777 6064, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
