BLACKPOOL is preparing for a blitz from the Boston Bombshell at the Boston Stake Out Restaurant on November 29.

Amy Rome, the Boston-born star, will sing two numbers at the opening of the new restaurant - and her performance will be broadcast live on Radio Wave.

Then Amy will go next door to the Norbreck Castle Hotel for a concert to raise funds for the MRI scanner appeal.

There will be a host of VIPs attending the event, including the mayor of Boston, Lincolnshire, and the chairman of the chamber of commerce, Boston, Massachusetts, along with a mystery VIP guest.

Amy's Queen's Promenade appearance is the highlight of the international star's annual visit to the North West.

During her North West tour, Amy who sings rhythm and blues, contemporary jazz and soul, will launch her new album Time Will Tell. The double Boston Music Award nominee, spoke exclusively to the Citizen from Boston this week.

She said: "We're looking forward to the visit greatly. The people are the best thing about England - and the people of the North West are best!"

Amy will be featured on BBC Radio Lancashire, Radio Wave and Red Rose Radio.

She will also make time, during her tour to perform at Lytham Conservative Club on Saturday, November 15, when she will re-acquaint herself with some old friends, including local impresario John Peacock who first brought her here.

John said: "Amy is a truly international performer. She has performed on cruise ships, does cabaret and is an accomplished recording artist."
