I AM appalled at the manic practice of fireworks going off long before bonfire night and also after.
It is making both cats and dogs terrified and they are more likely to dash into the road to escape from the thunderous noise, and be maimed or killed.
If they have to celebrate Guy Fawkes' Night, and not everyone does, it should be an organised affair in the right place and safe for children and animals alike.
