CAR trim to inflatable dinghies group Wardle Storeys has seen profits soar.
The firm, which employs more than 350 at its plants in Blackburn and Earby, reported pre-tax profits for the year to September increase by 18 per cent to £12.5 million.
Chairman Clive Clague said it had been an excellent year for the company despite the impact of the strong pound in the export market.
The group is split into three divisions including the technical products division, which manufactures fabrics and trims for the car industry at sites including the two East Lancashire factories.
The division's products are now included in the new Fiat Bravo and Brava cars.
"All three divisions are clearly focused with strong global market positions and scope for further growth," said Mr Clague.
Shareholders will see an increased dividend of 14p.
