REGARDING Louise Woodward, in my opinion the parents of baby Matthew are as much to blame as anybody, for what happened.
Why didn't they employ an experienced nanny if they cared so much for their son? They could easily have afforded it.
But no, they opted for an au pair, which was cheaper and they would have a general dogsbody, whereas a nanny would only care for the child or children.
So how can they be blameless?
