THE new air monitoring report on Clitheroe Hospital is now out.
I have looked at it briefly before handing it on to someone more competent to evaluate the information.
But it is bad - many times over World Health Organisation Limits.
The analysis of the dust particles shows that it is mainly quarry dust, not vehicles.' The amounts collected were as bad inside the hospital wards as outside.
I was told the monitoring was carried out during good weather so doors and windows were open for air circulation.
Also it is worth bearing in mind the hospital is surrounded by very large trees which would filter out a lot of dust on their leaves. Without them the levels would be much worse!
