A BUSINESSMAN has been banned from being a director for three years after a court heard a company crashed owing more than £2million.
Michael Kershaw of Bankside Close, Bacup, was one of the directors of Leonard Horsfall and Co Ltd, a Todmorden based electrical contractors.
The company went into administrative receivership owing £2,243,000.
The high court at Manchester heard that the company failed to keep adequate books and records and kept money owed in tax to be used to continue trading. Disqualification orders of up to seven years were made against three other directors involved with the firm.
