SAMLESBURY Brewery staff dug deep to help two Preston schools - by totally revamping their playgrounds.
The challenge was set to mark the 25th anniversary of the Whitbread brewery. Project teams were given just two days and £500 to transform the gardens at Elms School on Moor Park and Bamber Bridge Methodist Primary on Wesley Street.
The teams built a sensory trail at Elms School to help the pupils with severe learning difficulties enjoy their garden. They then set up seating at the Bamber Bridge school.
Other events for the anniversary included a dinner for local mayors who sampled the Silver Special brew made for the celebrations.
The Samlesbury Brewery project team receives a big cheer from Bamber Bridge Methodist Primary pupils at their revamped school.
