HUNGRY people from all over Lancashire converge on Preston tomorrow (Nov 14) to gamble for their breakfasts and raise cash for charity.
Representatives from various organisations, political groups and schools will take part in Oxfam's Hunger Breakfast at the Harris Gallery.
They will draw lots to determine in which world they will dine. Some may find themselves fasting on bread and water while a fortunate few will feast on a luxury banquet made by Preston College students.
Lancashire County Council's Hazel Harding and MEP Michael Hindley will be among the 50 guests taking part.
The breakfast is part of Oxfam's Fast for Basic Rights, a sponsored 24-hour event which highlights the unequal distribution of food in the world.
Oxfam's North West Campaigns Officer Julia Tilford said: "It's superb that all the guests are prepared to go without breakfast if they draw the short straw."
