OSWALDTWISTLE'S famous cloggers are hoping to dance their way to Disneyland.
The popular ensemble have a regular spot at Oswaldtwistle Mills.
But they are hoping to take time out in March next year to meet Mickey and pals at the world-famous Magic Kingdom in Orlando.
Organiser Theresa Hindle has sent out photographs of the 19 dancers hoping to travel to the USA and has already taken bookings from hotels and entertainment parks throughout Florida. She said: "We have had a very positive response from America but have yet to hear whether we can dance in Disneyland, outside the British pub The Rose and Crown.
"The Cloggers are paying for the travel to America. But we need to raise the entrance fee to Disneyland."
In recent years the Ossie Cloggers have danced in Germany, Italy and Sweden and had hoped to go Down Under to teach the ex-pats how to clog dance. Theresa added: "We failed to raise enough money to go to Australia and the children were very disappointed.
"We have been fund-raising for the America visit for a year now and the Accrington Lions have kindly offered to help out with a charity auction."
All proceeds from the auction, which will take place at Accrington Town Hall on December 12, will go towards the trip. Anyone who would like to donate any items to the auction should contact Laurie on 01254 397026, or Ken McGarry on 01254 388616.
