JIM PENNYCOOK is looking to his latest import as the answer to end luckless Lancashire Hawks seven-match losing streak.
But rather than being a giant Scandinavia sharp-shooter the Hawks have called on one of the latest sports training programmes called Body Pump.
The Hawks are one of the first sides in Britain to use the fitness programme from New Zealand which is a form of weightlifting and aerobics which concentrates on building muscle fibres.
The top NHL sides in American are already using it and Pennycook is hoping that the new schedule will lift his side out of their current slump.
He said: "After playing really well in the 7-4 defeat at Slough on Saturday we burnt ourselves out and never recovered for Sunday when we were well beaten 8-3 by Kingston.
"Hopefully Body Pump will improve our fitness and speed up our recovery between matches."
The Hawks are back in Northern League action this weekend when they take on Fife at the Arena on Saturday before travelling to Murrayfield the follow day.
