FITNESS fanatics will soon be able to work up a sweat in a new £1 million, state-of-the-art health club based in a Haydock hotel.
The new Spirit Club is set to be completed at the end of January 1998 at the Granada-owned Forte Posthouse Hotel in Lodge Lane and will replace the existing Forte Spa Club. It will feature the latest in resistance and cardio-vascular training equipment, a 15 metre luxury swimming pool and spa, regular aerobics classes and a fully equipped Decleor beauty treatment room.
In addition, three new jobs will be created in beauty therapy and lifestyle consultation.
Manager, Jeanette Jones said: "The opening of the Spirit health club represents both a significant financial investment and a new approach to health and fitness for the area.
"The Spirit philosophy is very much about like-minded people exercising at their own pace. With the current trend towards designer health clubs which can be extremely intimidating, Spirit will be a refreshing alternative and provide a real 'club' environment."
Individual and corporate membership packages are now available with special rates for founder members.
