A COSMOPOLITAN collection of model railway buffs will gather in Nelson for a three-day exhibition.
People are travelling from Poland, Germany and France to be at Pendle Forest Model Railway Society's annual show.
Enthusiasts have worked harder than ever to put on a special display for the foreign visitors.
Society secretary David Carter said: "We will be joined this year by fellow enthusiasts from Pendle's twin towns, Creil and Marl, and to demonstrate that railway enthusiasm is a truly international hobby one of our friends will bring his layout from Warsaw, Poland - an epic journey in itself, occupying several days travelling to get here."
He added: "The star of this year's show will be the society's own large-scale layout, Ecclesford Junction, which has been three years in the building and features computer control."
Pendle Mayor Jo Belbin will open the exhibition at Nelson Civic Theatre on Friday November 28. For every visitor the society will make a donation to Children in Need.
