SKATING stars of the future broke the ice when they auditioned for a dream part in a new Christmas show.
The budding Torvil and Deans skated away at Blackburn Arena as they tried to impress the judges and win a part in "A Christmas Fantasy" at King George's Hall.
The eventual winners, judged by director and choreographer John McCarrick, were Jade Martin, 11, of Chorley and Andrew McDonald, 12, of Blackburn.
Dean Morgan, 13, of Darwen and Michelle Royds, 11, of Blackburn, were chosen as understudies.
The show is being put on by Stageworks Worldwide Productions, producers of the world-renowned Hot Ice Show.
And John and Jade will be skating with some of the best as the show will feature a host of international ice skating medal winners, including six-times British Figure Skating champ Joanne Conway and five-times Finnish champion Oula Jaaskelainen.
Over 2,000 square feet of shimmering ice will transform King George's into a winter wonderland for the show which will run from December 27 to January 11.
