IT was interesting to read about falling attendances in churches in Blackburn and nationally.
In Blackburn, non-churchgoers stand at 88 per cent. The younger generation have many things competing for their attention.
However, they may not have heard of AXIS, a social meeting for singles in their 20s, 30s and a few in their 40s at the Postal Order pub, Darwen Street, Blackburn, on Wednesday nights from 8pm onwards.
We discuss relevant issues concerning young people and Christianity and also present a friendly, mixed group aiming to provide an alternative to church attendance.
Non-christians are welcome.
