SOME of the biggest names in guitar music gathered in a Clitheroe pub for a masterclass with the man who plucked the chords on an all-time classic.
Jerry Donahue played with Robert Plant and Bob Dylan and was the lead guitarist on 'Baker Street,' by Gerry Rafferty. But this week he was in the Keystreet pub in Lowergate, to meet up with other musicicans, including guitarists from Simply Red, Stone Roses, the Smiths and China Crisis. Jerry was in the country to perform at Wembley Arena and promote his new state-of-the-art Fender guitar.
The event was organised by Pete Barton of Rotheray Artist Management and Guitar World in Clitheroe.
"It is rare that you get a guitarist of this calibre performing in a pub venue. Jerry Donahue is one of the world's best rock guitarists and we are extremely lucky to have had him in Clitheroe," he said.
Landlord Phil Knight hopes the masterclass will be the first of many top live music nights at his pub.
