HAVING progressed in the Lancashire FA Youth Cup for professional clubs by beating Blackpool 2-1 at Ewood on Monday, the Rovers youngsters' next big date is Tuesday, December 2.

That's when they entertain Manchester United in the second round of the FA Youth Cup at Ewood. Kick-off time is 7-30pm, half an hour later than is usual for youth and reserve team matches.

Rovers and United were both exempt until the second round because of their previous efforts in the competition.

If a replay is needed, it will be at Old Trafford on Monday, December 8 (7pm).

THERE is Pontin's League action scheduled for Ewood on Wednesday night when Premier Division championship leaders Leeds United are the visitors (7pm).

ANY remaining tickets for the next home game against Bolton Wanderers on Saturday, December 6 (3pm) went on open sale on Thursday.

The match against Manchester United at Old Trafford tomorrow week has long been sold out, but tickets for the trip to Arsenal on Saturday, December 13 (3pm) will be available from Monday. They are all one price, £14-50 with no concessions.

FANS who watch the Lancashire League fixtures at Brockhall on Saturday mornings should note that there is no A or B team game at the training ground next week, Saturday, November 29.

The scheduled B team match has been switched to Chester, with the home game now to be played on March 21.

ROVERS have cooked up a Christmas "special" over adult and child tickets for the home games against West Ham on Saturday, December 20 (3pm), and Crystal Palace on Sunday, December 28 (3pm).

Fans who buy one adult and one child seat for both matches will be charged only £40 instead of the normal price for the four tickets of £52. The offer, however, applies to the Darwen End upper tier only.

Seats for the West Ham and Palace games go on open sale on Tuesday, December 2. Category B prices apply to both matches, with prices ranging from £16-20. Concessions, where available, are £10.

THE evening with manager Roy Hodgson on Thursday, December 11, organised by the Supporters' Association, has been sold out. Fans without tickets are advised that there will not be any casual admission on the night.
