TWO major contracts worth more than £500,000 have been won by a high tech firm.

Document management specialist Cad-Capture, based in Blackburn, has been awarded the contracts by Shell and National Grid.

A major investment programme is under way for new computer-aided design equipment for the firm and a recruitment drive to take on more than 30 new staff has started.

The latest orders follow a clutch of contracts completed by the firm, which specialises in transferring paper and microfilm documents into electronic data.
