CHARGES for eye and teeth checks were the first step on the Tory road to charges for everything - according to furious North East Lancashire Labour MPs.
Blackburn's Jack Straw warned: "The next step will be charging for a stay in hospital and the step after will be charging for going to see your doctor."
Burnley's Peter Pike said: "The Government is going in totally the wrong direction because these charges will deter people from seeking tests."
