WRITER William Park is no stranger to having his work published and moving in the most prestigious circles of scribes.
And the 35-year-old from Preston has come up trumps again with his latest short story storming into a new anthology.
Mr Park has written two novels and now his brilliant short story The Gifted Boy can be read in Arc Short Stories Volume Eight - a selection of stories from the October Ilkley Literature Festival. It's autobiographical - a tale of a teenage boy who wants to write but is pushed in the conventional direction of university by his teacher.
Mr Park said: "It's about gifted individuals who endure troubles and pressures, which is a bit like me." The book is available in bookshops priced £7.95.
