SURELY, the time has come when, after his disgraceful attempt to steal the glory of the Queen's recent anniversary, Tony Blair is put in his place.
The walk-about in London was the Queen's and not a reason for the Prime Minister and his wife to take on the shaking of hands. It was Her Majesty's day.
It's time Mr Blair realised that, as PM, he is not elected by the people, but is the leader of a party elected by the people with just over 40 per cent of the votes cast and, as such, is the Queen's first minister, not her equal or a president-in-waiting.
The Queen represents the nation.
Tony Blair represents the Labour Party and its supporters only.
