POLICE in St Helens have recovered a large amount of stolen jewellery and are now appealing for people who have had a break-in this year to come forward as their property may be among recovered items.
The haul was discovered following enquiries which led police to a house in Thatto Heath where they found a number of jewellery pieces and a privilege card for a jewellers shop in Liverpool.
Police then made enquiries at the shop and recovered a large amount of stolen goods.
If you have had some jewellery stolen over the past year and would like to check the collection, you can call the Crime Management Unit on 0151 777 6050 for more information.
