ATHERTON Traders Association, celebrating its first anniversary this month, will discuss Christmas lights at Monday's meeting at the Wheatsheaf (5.30pm).
Seasonal trees and lights in the town centre will come thanks to council funding.
The traders will also discuss whether to open on the two Sundays prior to Christmas (December 14 & 21) with the option of street entertainment.
A spokesperson said: "We feel we have accomplished a great deal, including a successful bid for CCTV which will be installed after Christmas, shop watch, and a town centre floral display for next summer.
"We have been very successful in working with the local authority to improve the future of the town."
