GRATEFUL parents are seeking the Good Samaritan who stepped-in to help their stranded daughter.

Stuart and Jacqueline Harding's 11-year-old daughter was stuck in Leigh after boarding the wrong bus on her way home from school.

Having spent her bus fare on an unintentional journey the youngster found herself in Leigh Bus Station with no money to get home.

But a concerned traveller stepped forward to help the worried schoolgirl.

The Hardings contacted The Journal in the hope of finding the kind woman who went to their daughter's rescue.

They said: "The lady telephoned us to let us know where our daughter was, helped her catch the correct bus and also paid her bus fare. Unfortunately, we don't know the identity of this kind lady, but if she would contact us, via The Journal, we should be very pleased to refund the money she paid on our daughter's behalf."
