DANIEL Harper and Les Reger are preparing to line up against the world's fastest rally teams in the Network Q RAC Rally, the final round of the World Rally Championship.
The Burnley pair are doing route reconnaissance before the race begins on Saturday.
Daniel, 28, an engineer, and Les, 29, a company rep, are driving their modified Rover Mini Cooper in the demanding three-day event, which takes place in Cheltenham, Blenheim, Donnington, Silverstone and central Wales.
Top drivers such as Colin McRae are included in an impressive line-up of 160 teams who will compete over 1,148-miles.
The event culminates in racing along classic gravel roads through Forestry Commission land in Wales.
"We're really looking forward to it," said Daniel, who works for Mini Sport in Padiham. "It's our second attempt at the event, and we've been putting the car together over the last few days."
Daniel and Les were working on the car at the Thompson Street works right up till last week.
