THREE cute bunnies found abandoned under a cattle grid are living a life of luxury, thanks to a Blackburn pet shop.
The rabbits were found near Country Fields Children's Nursery, Ramsgreave Road, Blackburn, and had to be rescued by the RSPCA, with help from nursery staff.
The nursery did not think they would be able to look after all three until Ashley Cook from Aquamania stepped in to help.
Mr Cook gave the nursery a large rabbit hutch, some sawdust and food to allow the staff to keep the bunnies.
Nursery manager Samantha Mackay said Mr Cook's kind donation meant the staff and children could look after their new pets.
And she said they were settling in well to their new life, despite the trauma of being trapped outside for some time.
"There was a bit of water underneath the grid and we were putting down food until we got them out but it can't have been nice for them because they are domesticated and only small.
"It will be good for the children to have them here at the nursery."
