MURDER squad detectives hunting the killer of a Leicester man have switched their inquiries to East Lancashire.
They believe a man they want to interview may be living in Blackburn.
Osron Oscar Samuel, 29, is wanted for questioning in connection with the murder of 41-year-old Mr Costin Tucker following a midnight street shooting in Leicester in August.
Detectives have traced dozens of people in the area at the time but are anxious to question Samuel, who also goes under the name of Hamsa Latif.
Detectives from Leicester have been in Blackburn this week after a man answering Samuel's description was seen entering a mosque in the Audley Range area of the town.
Samuel, a Muslim who was last seen with a beard and moustache, is also known to have friends in the Blackburn area.
Detective Chief Inspector Michael Grant, who is heading the murder hunt, appealed for people who have seen anyone matching Samuel's description to contact the murder incident room.
Anyone with information should ring either the incident room at Leicester on 0116 222 2222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
